Aloha from Paradise

I’m on vacation with my family in Honolulu for a few days and then Kauai for Independence Day weekend.

I woke up this morning and had breakfast on the lanai to enjoy this view:

After breakfast, my dad and I went for a dip at the nearby beach lagoon and the pool. It was still pretty early so the water was cold, but not so cold that you couldn’t get used to it. As my dad snapped photos, I lounged on the sand reading.

We’re back at the condo waiting for mom to finish making lunch. This afternoon’s menu will include rasam, eggplant curry and a mixed rice (puliodharai).
